Dr. Voscopoulos is board certified in Anesthesiology, Critical Care, and Pain Medicine through the American Board of Anesthesiology, Transesophageal Echocardiography through the National Board of Echocardiography, board certified in Addiction Medicine through the American Board of Preventive Medicine, board eligible in Critical Care Echocardiography through the National Board of Echocardiography, and board eligible in Neurocritical Care through the United Council for Neurological Subspecialties. He is a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians. He earned his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine. During medical school, he completed a prestigious 2-year research fellowship at the National Cancer Institute, National Institutes of Health where he studied molecular genetics. Upon graduation, he completed his internship in Surgery at Stanford University School of Medicine, his residency in Anesthesia at the University of California San Francisco and Emory University School of Medicine, and his fellowships in Critical Care and Pain Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School. While at Harvard University he won the Anesthesiology Department fellow of the year award.
