Dr. Lee grew up in Chicago, London, and Hong Kong. She graduated from Harvard with Honors in 1992 and from Stanford University School of Medicine in 1996. She completed her surgical residency at University of California – San Francisco in 2003, a Laparoscopic & Bariatric Surgery Fellowship in 2004, and also has an MBA from the Haas School of Business, at the University of California, Berkeley. She then served in the United States Air Force and deployed overseas in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. She practices at Marin General Hospital and Novato Community Hospital and does weight loss surgery with Dr. Scott Perryman at Sonoma Valley Hospital. She takes pride in serving her country as a Commander in the Navy Reserve.
Dr. Lee describes her professional philosophy is the same as that of the Air force, “Integrity, service before self, and excellence in all we do.” She believes excellence should be delivered with both compassion and respect. “While professionalism and excellent surgical outcomes are part of what I strive for, reassuring patients during a stressful time is also very important to me.” She enjoys skiing, water sports, taekwondo, and golf.
