Overview
Founded in 1982, Sonoma Valley Hospital Foundation serves as the philanthropic arm of Sonoma Valley Hospital, cultivating community support and raising funds to assist the Hospital in its mission to maintain, improve and restore the health of everyone in our community.
In 2024, Sonoma Valley Hospital secured a new 3 Tesla MRI, thanks to the support of SVHF generous donors the $21M+ Outpatient Diagnostic Center capital campaign has transformed SVH’s diagnostic capabilities. In 2023, the Foundation secured $770,000 from the Sonoma Valley community supported toward Sonoma Valley Hospital’s conversion to using the Epic/MyChart electronic health record (EHR). The philanthropic response from our valley helped SVH make the $4M+ transition to this new platform.
SVHF has enabled the hospital to enhance medical services, expand health care and wellness programs, upgrade facilities, and offer services to patients who could not otherwise afford to pay for care. Dollars raised by the SVHF supports capital equipment purchases, facility upgrades, and certain community health services such as our mammography program for uninsured women.
